My name is Catey Moretz. I will be your child's English 6 or Advanced English 6 teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Let me begin by welcoming you to Read Mountain Middle School! We are all looking forward to an exciting year with your child.
This will be my twenty-first year as a teacher. I have taught grades two through six, so I am familiar with your child's elementary school experiences.
I am a graduate of Radford University, where I received a B. S. in Psychology in 1996. I went on to receive my teaching certification from Hollins University. I hold endorsements in Elementary Education (PreK-6), Middle School English (6-8), and English to Speakers of Other Languages (K-12). I am currently a student at JMU. I am pursuing a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
I live in Roanoke with my husband, Jason, and two children. My kids, Lilly and Noah, are ninth and tenth graders this year. I also have a dog, Frankie, and two cats, Bella and Spencer.
